Want to Start Using AI but Do Not Know Where to Begin?
You signed up, opened the screen, then sat staring at the empty typing box because you did not know what to ask. In the end, you closed it, and the next day you forgot about it.
The cause is usually starting without a plan, not anything wrong with you. When there is no goal for each day, the motivation disappears before you can see results.
This plan is divided into 7 days, one topic per day. It takes about 10 minutes a day. By the end of the week, you will be comfortable using AI for real tasks.
Becoming good at using AI comes from trying it repeatedly until it becomes a habit, not from reading until you understand everything before starting. Try a little each day, and your hands will remember.
Core Concept: Build a Habit, Do Not Rush to Be Good
People who use AI fluently are people who pick it up often enough that it becomes normal. The more you repeat it, the more your hands remember. This matters more than reading the whole manual first.
The goal of the first week is to make opening AI and asking something feel easy, like picking up your phone to check LINE.
That is why this plan focuses on small things you can actually do each day, not stuffing in a lot of knowledge all at once.
7-Day Plan, 10 Minutes a Day
Day 1: Say Hello and Ask About Something You Are Curious About
Open AI and ask about something already on your mind, such as “Explain compound interest in a simple way.” Today’s goal is to feel that you really can chat with it.
Day 2: Ask It to Help Write Something
Try asking it to draft a message, such as a birthday greeting or a thank-you message to a customer, then adjust it as you like. Today you will see that it can help with real work.
Day 3: Practice Giving Detailed Context
Ask about the same topic from Day 1, but this time explain who you are and what you will use the answer for. Notice how much more relevant the answer becomes. Read more about writing instructions at How to Write Prompts AI Understands.
Day 4: Ask It to Summarize Something Long
Copy an article or long message you do not feel like reading, paste it into AI, and say, “Summarize this into 3 points.” Today you will gain a fast reading assistant.
Day 5: Ask for Ideas or Options
Try asking something without one fixed answer, such as “Please suggest 3 dinner menus from what I have in the fridge.” Today you will see how it can help you think.
Day 6: Revise and Improve Previous Work
Take something from an earlier day and ask AI to adjust it, such as “Make this shorter” or “Make this more formal.” Today you will learn that the first answer does not have to be perfect.
Day 7: Use It for Your Real Work
Choose one real task you are currently doing and let AI help from start to finish. By the end of today, you will see how it can fit into your daily life.
Update box: Which Tool Should You Start With Right Now (June 2026)?
This section contains information that changes according to the AI’s capabilities and will be updated regularly. The core concepts above will always apply.
Right now, ChatGPT is the most popular starting point and handles Thai well. You can begin with the free version on the web or mobile app.
If you want live internet search as well, Gemini does that well. Claude is strong at long-form writing. Try one at a time in the following week.
All of them have free mobile apps. Start with one tool first, then gradually expand.
3 Things That Help This Plan Continue
Make It Visible and Do Not Set Too Big a Goal
Ten minutes a day is enough. Set a regular time, such as after breakfast, so you do not forget and it does not feel forced.
Do Not Be Afraid to Ask Wrong Questions
No one will criticize you for what you ask. Ask again, ask simple questions, ask as many times as you want. AI does not get bored and does not judge you.
Save the Questions That Work
When you find an instruction that works well, save it in your notes. Next time, you can reuse and adjust it instead of thinking from scratch.
